It has been recently noticed that the major cause of problems among majority of couples is irritating bedtime habits. The sleep council have listed some of the most regular habits which have led to separation among married couple.
The Tuck And Roll - A person holds on to the edge of the duvet and rolls away from the other, leaving the other without a blanket.
The Midnight Shuffle - Where one sleeper moves away from the other and is slowly followed across the bed by the partner.
Grinding Teeth – This is one of the most scariest habits. This is more than just sleep habit. In Indian context it is called to be causes due to stomach disorders.
Snoring – One of the major reasons of divorce specially abroad. Snoring, is also a health disorder. It is caused by many reasons. It can be cause by incorrect nose disorder, enlarged polyp etc. Whatever it is, it needs to be cured to save love life.
Talking – Sleep talking, is when a person speaks his or her dreams aloud. It is very disturbing for the other person. Most of the children have this but if it persists at an older age, should be taken to a doctor. This also scares couple away from each other.
Jessica Alexander, from The Sleep Council, said: “Research shows that one in 10 couples currently have separate beds. However, one out of five would love to have their own bed if only their partner would suggest. A really big bed and separate bedding might solve some of the problems, but if sleeping habits are desperately different, then separate beds or bedrooms is the only answer. You can still have all the cuddles and intimate moments before retiring to get a good night’s sleep.”
